Movie Theaters
There are 35 movie theaters in Prague. Bellow
find the list of our favorite ones. They usually
present American movies in
English with Czech subtitles. Find the
schedule in biweekly program Downtown. This
program is available free at cinema lobbies, pubs
and galleries.
There are two special movie theaters.
Ponrepo-Bio Konvikt at Bartolomejska 11 (phone
24237233) presents non
commercial and old movies from the whole
world. Also you can see there old Czech movies
with English subtitles. Another special cinema
Aero located at Biskupcova 31 (phone 71771349)
presents the profiles of the famous directors and
the festival movies. So if you are the film
expert, these places are for you :-)
Tickets
You can buy the ticket from the ticket counter
right in a theater or a concert hall. Sometimes
they are sold out so we recommend you to buy the
ticket from a ticket agency in
advance. Usually you will get them for the
same price. Find here the useful list of ticket
agencies which are located in the city center.
